Dave Gould is a Operating Partner at TechOperators. Having held leadership roles with both start-up and larger technology companies, Dave offers a broad range of experience that touches every aspect of the business. A proven industry leader with a breadth of knowledge in launching and growing businesses in emerging markets, he possesses sound experience in predicting market developments, setting and adjusting strategy, and leading organizations amidst changing market dynamics.
Dave was formerly the Chairman & CEO of Witness Systems. During his eight-year tenure, he led the company through a successful IPO (Red Herring #13 in 2000), and to the leading position in the workforce optimization market. Through strong execution and successful acquisitions, Witness grew from less than $10 million of annual revenue to close to $250 million, with operating margins in the 20% range. The company was sold in the spring of 2007 for ~ $1.1 billion.
Dave joined Witness Systems from Boston-based InStream Corporation, where he was Chairman & CEO of the early-stage Internet electronic commerce company targeting the healthcare market. Prior to his roles there, he served as president of DCA’s Remote Access Division (now Attachmate Corporation) and held management positions with Management Science America (MSA).
Dave sits on the board for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). Dave holds a bachelor’s in economics degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from Emory University.
Dan has over twenty-five years of experience in the software and information technology services business. From 1998 to 2002 Mr. Drechsel served as President and COO, then President of Emea of S1 Corporation during its significant growth from the data processing subsidiary of an internet bank to a $250 million revenue multiline supplier of software and data processing services to 3500 financial institution clients. During 1997 and 1998 Mr. Drechsel served as Chief Marketing Officer for Meta4, SA, based in Madrid. From 1995 to 1997 Mr. Drechsel was General Manger of a non-equity joint venture between ADP and Checkfree Corporation engaged in electronic banking and bill payment for small businesses. Mr. Drechsel joined ADP in 1994 as Vice President, Marketing in ADP’s large accounts human resources services business. Prior to 1994, Mr. Drechsel spent more than a dozen years in various positions of responsibility in a variety of functional areas including software development, sales, and marketing at Dun & Bradstreet’s Software Divsion, later sold to Geac. Just prior to joining SAP, Mr. Drechsel served from 2003 until 2007 as President and COO of Global Energy Decisions, a firm engaged in Analytics, Trading and Operations software for electricity market particpants which was sold to Ventyx, Inc. Mr. Drechsel holds a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Mercer University.
Mark brings 33 years of experience working in UPS Operations, Industrial Engineering, Technology Support, Strategic Systems, eVentures, Supply chain Solutions, and Package Process Management. In his previous role at UPS, he led the Package Process Management group that was responsible for the development of strategy and projects that enhance the service, cost, and capabilities of the company’s delivery and transport network. He is a strategic thinker with demonstrated business leadership who understands how technology should be applied to well-planned business processes.
Glenn McGonnigle is a General Partner at TechOperators. Prior to launching TechOperators, Glenn was most recently Chairman and CEO of Atlanta-based VistaScape Security Systems, a leading provider of enterprise intelligent video surveillance software where he was recruited by the company’s board to raise capital and grow the business. He subsequently oversaw the successful sale of the company to Siemens Building Technologies. An authority on IT and physical security convergence and a frequent contributor and expert speaker for numerous industry publications and events, Glenn helped shape President Bush’s 2005 National Strategy for Maritime Security.
Previously, Glenn was a co-founder and top executive of Atlanta-based Internet Security Systems (ISS) where he helped raise initial venture capital and launch the business. For 7 years, he led the business development team in developing sales channels and entering the managed security services market. During his tenure, the company grew from startup to revenues of over $225 million and was recently acquired by IBM for $1.5 billion.
Prior to ISS, he was President and co-founder of Data Integrity Services Corporation, an early-stage provider of WAN-based data management services. Throughout his 24 year career, Glenn has remained focused on emerging technologies and has held a variety of sales and marketing executive positions during the high growth stages of EMC, Epoch Systems, Borland, and Wang Laboratories.
He is an active member of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), a director of the Atlanta CEO Council, and currently chairs the 2011 Venture Atlanta Conference. In addition, he has served as Entrepreneur in Residence and CapVenture coach supporting Georgia’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC). McGonnigle holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia.
In his capacity as Chief Strategy Officer, Devon Wijesinghe is responsible for formulating and facilitating execution of long-term strategies that position e-VERIFILE.COM as a leader in its field. His energy and sales skills quickly built the company into one of the largest privately held data risk software companies in the nation.
As a young entrepreneur, Mr. Wijesinghe is the youngest member inducted into the Atlanta CEO Council, an exclusive organization comprised of more than 1000 CEOs and senior executives from leading technology and related companies from across the Southeast. He was also the youngest ever to be accepted into the Atlanta Technology Angels and was recruited by the Executive Chairman Mike Eckert, founder of the Weather Channel, to be on its board of directors and lead a committee.
He sits on numerous private company boards, makes significant investments into young and growing companies, and is a highly sought after speaker in the areas of risk management, security and HR issues. He is also the founder and CEO of Triple Threat Strategies, his own personal investment firm that provides operational advice and capital to young growing enterprises.
He attended Kennesaw State University, Michael J. Coles School of Business, where he ranked in the top 5% of his class.
Nancy Treaster serves as a Senior Vice President and General Manager of Verint® Witness Actionable Solutions®, the leader in enterprise workforce optimization (WFO) software and services. In her position, she directs global market strategy and strategic business operations, including product strategy, OEMs and alliances, and marketing.
Prior to her current role, she served on the senior management team of Witness Systems-which in 2007 combined with Verint Systems-as senior vice president of global marketing. During her 10 year tenure with the company, she led marketing and product management, working alongside the global sales, support and engineering organizations. Before joining Witness Systems, Treaster directed product management and product marketing for Dun & Bradstreet Software. Her background includes 13 years with the company in a variety of positions, including training, consulting, product management, sales and marketing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in management science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
